Rim of the World Comfort Pets

Background

Rim of the World Comfort Pets exists to promote health and improve the quality of life for individuals through the animal-human interactions that come from animal-assisted activities and therapy.

Comfort Pets came to us with a static website and with a desire to start using the site as the primary way to manage how members volunteered. Since most members are retired with varying relationships with technology, we took particular care in finding a solution which minimized steps for signing-up and removing themselves.

We found and modified a plugin which allows members to view events in monthly calendar format and sign-up via a form. Once signed-up they receive an email confirmation which provides a link to remove themselves from the event.
